The father of the Sunrise Propane employee feared dead after the massive Downsview explosion has been granted a visa to come to Canada.

Parminder Saini was working at the North York propane site on the morning of the Aug. 10 blast. But investigators have not been able to link his DNA to human remains found in the rubble of the depot.

The 24-year-old's mother has not been given permission to come here but officials say the situation should be resolved by the end of the day.

Meanwhile, to the west of the propane depot, crews will be working around the clock to get Downsview Secondary School repaired.

Windows were blown out and ceiling tiles knocked down. School board officials say it may still not be ready to reopen next Tuesday.

A lot of anxious parents were at a meeting last night about the status of Madonna Catholic High School.

They're worried about the structural safety of the building and possible asbestos in the air when their kids return to class next week.

There will be another meeting tonight for parents of children who go to St. Nobert Catholic School. It starts at 7 p.m. in the school gym.
