A 57-year-old man is dead following a house fire in Dundas early Thursday morning, police say.
Hamilton police said firefighters found the man inside a Hatt Street home while they battled the blaze at about 2:40 a.m.
A neighbour reported the fire. The house was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.
The male was transported to hospital by ambulance, but he died of his injuries.
The man's name haven't been released.
Police said the man was the only person inside the home.
The fire's cause is under investigation.
