Toronto police confirm a woman was killed in a car crash in Scarborough Monday afternoon.
The woman was driving a Kia minivan when she lost control while driving on the southbound lanes of Neilson Road, just south of Highway 401.
Her van hit a tree and rolled over, ejecting the woman from her seat. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other cars were involved in the collision, police say.
That part of Neilson Road is expected to be closed throughout the evening traffic rush as police investigate what led to the fatal crash.
The victim was the only person injured, according to police.
