A Toronto woman is dead and a man is in hospital with serious injuries after being pulled from a partially submerged vehicle in Caledon overnight.
OPP responded to a call at McLaughlin Road north of The Grange Side Road around 3:30 a.m. and found two people trapped in a vehicle lodged in a drainage ditch.
Firefighters managed to free both people and they were rushed to hospital by Peel EMS.
Police identified the woman as 29-year-old Stacy Capecchi of Toronto. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The male driver remains in stable condition.
OPP are still investigating. No other vehicles appeared to be involved in the incident.
No charges have been laid.
