Convicted sex offender Gordon Stuckless has been charged with an additional 27 sex-related offences, bringing the total number of charges he is facing to 98.

The new charges were laid ahead of a brief court appearance Thursday morning.

The 98 charges stem from allegations made by 17 men, who say they were assaulted by Stuckless as boys.

All charges relate to alleged offences committed between the 1960s and 80s.

In October, 1997, Stuckless pleaded guilty to sexually abusing 24 boys while working in maintenance at Maple Leaf Gardens, starting in 1969. He served five years for his crimes.
