York Regional Police are investigating a shooting in Richmond Hill overnight.
Officers were called to King William Crescent, located near Red Maple Road and Bantry Avenue, at around 12:23 a.m. for a report of shots fired in the area.
When officers arrived, they found shell casings in a parking lot on the street but did not locate a victim.
Police began to search for a vehicle that was spotted leaving the scene and officers later learned that the vehicle was at a nearby hospital.
The occupants of the vehicle were later determined to be a 23-year-old gunshot victim and a few of his friends, who drove him to the hospital. The man's injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening.
Witnesses to the shooting told police that they spotted four male suspects who were all wearing dark clothing.

There were no reports of any damage to vehicles or homes in the area following the shooting.
