A young girl has died after being struck by a van in Leaside Wednesday afternoon.
It happened at Millwood Road and McRae Drive shortly after 4 p.m.
According to police, the seven-year-old girl was struck by a Toyota Sienna turning west onto Millwood Road from McRae Drive.
She was rushed to SickKids hospital with serious head trauma but died from her injuries a short time later.
The driver of the vehicle, a 50-year-old man, remained at the scene.
Police continue to investigate.
