A 21-year-old man is dead after he was shot outside a fast food restaurant near Finch Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue late Thursday night, Toronto police say.

The man, identified by police as John Kang, was shot at least once in a McDonald's parking lot on Finch Avenue shortly after 10:10 p.m.

Police spokesman Const. Tony Vella said Kang and a friend were approached by two men.

One of the men pulled out a gun and shot Kang, Vella told CP24.

Kang was driven to a hospital by his friend, but he died of his injuries.

An autopsy is pending to confirm the cause of death.

No one has been arrested.

Investigators are looking for two male suspects who should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

Both males are black and 18 to 19 years old, police said.

One is about five-foot-six, between 120 and 125 pounds and was wearing a baseball cap, while the second suspect is about six feet tall and was also wearing a baseball cap, police said.
