Peel police are investigating the region's latest homicide after a 19-year-old Toronto man died in a fight at a restaurant in Mississauga early Monday.

Officers were called to the Tasty Bite Restaurant on Torbram Road at about 2:10 a.m.

Police said the man was beaten to death in a fight, but they wouldn't confirm reports he was repeatedly struck with a weapon.

The man was pronounced dead in the ambulance in the restaurant's parking lot. The ambulance was held at the scene for several hours as a forensic team gathered evidence.

Homicide detectives are investigating the man's death. His name hasn't been released.

No one has been arrested.

A Peel Regional Police spokesperson said investigators are looking for five or six males who were in a white, four-door vehicle.

Torbram Road has reopened between Anson Drive and Derry Road East.
