A judicial pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for March 27 in the Jian Ghomeshi sexual assault case.

Ghomeshi was not inside a College Park courtroom as the date for the hearing was set this morning, but his lawyers were on hand.

The former Q host faces a total of seven counts of sexual assault and one count of overcoming resistance, choking.

Following an appearance earlier this month, a lawyer for Ghomeshi said that the defence has received more than 1,000 documents from the Crown but is seeking further disclosure.

Lawyer Marie Henein has said that Ghomeshi will plead not guilty to all charges.
