A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing on the Canadian National Exhibition grounds Saturday night, Toronto Paramedic Services confirms.

The incident happened on the west side of the grounds, near the Dufferin Street gates, at around 7 p.m.

EMS crews at the CNE came across a man near an EMS station who was suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

The man was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition however paramedics say he is now in stable condition at a local trauma centre.

A second man injured during the stabbing sustained minor cuts to the ear and was not transported to hospital, police say.

Police have not released any information on possible suspects and say the investigation is ongoing.
