A year into their investigation, homicide investigators in York Region are hoping to spark renewed public interest in a case by releasing a new security surveillance video of the night a double murder took place in Vaughan.
Police responded to a call at 1 a.m. on July 12, 2013, and found Salvatore Calautti, 41, and James Tusek, 35, both shot outside Terrace Banquet Hall on Creditstone Road near Rutherford Road.
There was a private party happening in the banquet hall at the time.
Both men died of their injuries.
The newly released video shows a white van which drove past the scene at the time of the shootings.
Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the van's driver and occupants. As many as 500 people were at the party that night but police believe about 100 people were there at the time of the shooting.
