Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate a possible abduction that occurred in Parkdale on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say an older woman was observed walking near Springhurst and Spencer avenues at around 2:30 p.m. when a flat-bed truck pulled up alongside her.

At that point, police allege that an unidentified party lifted the woman into the cab of the truck and then placed her walker in the back of the truck.

The truck then left the area, driving northbound along Spencer Avenue.

Police say they are looking to speaking with anyone who can identify the woman or provide information about her current whereabouts.

The woman is described as white, about five-foot-two with a medium to heavy build and long grey hair. She was wearing black or dark-coloured clothing at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (416) 808-1400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at (416) 222-TIPS (8477).
