Toronto police will be providing an update this morning on a fatal shooting that took place exactly one year ago today in Regent Park.
On the afternoon of Oct. 6, 2014, 18-year-old Yusuf Ali was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in an alley near Shuter and Parliament streets. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.
A suspect description released by police at the time was very limited, however investigators said they were reviewing security camera footage from the surrounding area.
At today’s news conference, which begins at 10:30 a.m., 51 Division Supt. Elizabeth Byrnes will provide an update on the case.
