The Special Investigations Unit is probing an incident near York University on Wednesday.
The case stems from an altercation that began when police pulled over a vehicle near Founders Road and Steeles Avenue at about 6:40 p.m.
Two people got out of the vehicle that was pulled over. Emergency Medical Services say there was a police foot chase and one
man was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The SIU said in a release that 18-year-old Junior Alexander Manon died after the short foot pursuit.
