Truck crashes into Niagara Falls restaurant

Two people have been injured after a car crashed into a restaurant in Niagara Falls Monday afternoon.

Niagara police said that a truck drove through the front window of a Harvey's restaurant located on Lundy's Lane.

One male and one female were injured in the incident, police said.

Crash takes out hydro pole in Thornhill

Several people escaped serious injury in a multi-vehicle crash in Yonge Street's northbound lanes, near Royal Orchard Boulevard, in Thornhill on Sunday evening.

Two vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction crash, which occurred at about 6:15 a.m., and one of those vehicles ended up crashing into a hyro pole.

Police closed a stretch of Yonge Street's northbound lanes for about an hour following the crash.

York Regional Police are investigating the cause of the collision.

No one has been charged.
