An elderly man and woman both from Midland, Ont. were killed in a three-vehicle collision on County Road 27, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Police say the crash occurred around 11:55 a.m. on Saturday, between Flos Road 11 East and Baseline Road. An 80-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene. It is not clear if the two were related.

According to officials, two others were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while another was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre.
The roadway remained closed for most of the day as OPP’s Traffic Incident Management Team conducted an investigation reconstructing the scene. The circumstances surrounding the crash are unknown.
County Road 27 has since reopened on Sunday, and police are asking witnesses or anyone with video footage to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
