An extreme heat alert issued for the city has been cancelled. The day will start out with plenty of sunshine but there will be some clouds by this afternoon. The high will be 30C (or 25C by the lake) but there is a 30 per cent chance it will rain later this afternoon and tonight. Wear sunscreen as the UV index is very high at 8.
