Man stabbed three times in east Toronto

One man is in hospital and another is in police custody following a stabbing in the east end early Saturday evening.

It happened at an apartment on Oak Street near Gerrard and River Streets around 5 p.m.

According to police, the two men were engaged in a fight when one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the other three times.

The victim is in serious but stable condition.

Charges are pending against the suspect.
